New Concept of Wayang Performance - Javanese Puppetry

Wayang (Javanese Puppetry) has a special sense connection with Javanese People. At this time, most of people try to make a new concept about the performances. One of them would perform in Jakarta on March 19, 2011. The concept collaborated between movie, wayang orang, wayang kulit and orchestra. The fragmented story will  show in different way. What a nice fantastic to see the fighting moved from wayang kulit to wayang orang then movie with a fantastic orchestra which bring us to a live performing.

The story is about Jabang Tetuko (Tetuka), we know as well as Gatotkaca when he's growing up. Jabang Tetuko is a Werkudara's (Bima) son, one of Pandawa Lima (Five Pandawa) heroes. Since he was young, Jabang Tetuko has so many power inside. His body made of many kind of metal and God's weapons. He can fly and no no one can kill him with many weapons. Except Cakra (a kind of an arrow weapon) which used to cut his placenta when he was born.

This story would performed 3 times (11 am, 4 pm, 8 pm) at The Hall-Senayan City, Jakarta. Hope this concept could bring a new atmosphere on Javanese Tradition, especially Wayang and so the next generation would loves it and keep it alives. Bravo to Saraswati Nusantara...
